TERMS OF SERVICE / "TOS"

Detailed below are my Terms of Engagement, which are expectations for cooperative/constructive business/discussion with a client (possibly you!) alongside content restrictions and further addenda related to general conduct and ettiquette.NOTE: The standardized text of these Terms can come across cold and intimidating because they're latent with legal-ese. I promise that I'm nice ^^ and that these Terms are worded as they are mostly for my security! The yellow text beneath each section of Terms is my personal commentary version of their text above, which hopefully makes all this information more palatable and easy to parse. With that said, let's get started!

  • I DO NOT WRITE FOR MINORS.

All Clients of the Author must be above the age of 18 years and 1 day which will be verified by a photo of a government-issued ID with all information redacted aside from legal name (see "Payment, Gratuity and Means" for PayPal verification notes) and date of birth - photo and information is discarded after verification and PayPal verification is complete.Any violation of this rule will result in an immediate cancellation of commission (see Violation of Terms below) and, as applicable, result in immediate refund of payments (see "Cancellation and Refunds" below) and finish with an immediate ceasing of communication.TL;DR: If you're not older than 18, AKA not a legal adult, I will not write for you, and I will verify this via secure transaction - if you LIE about being a legal adult, I will instantly stop work for you and retract all exchanges between us. Relevant to Payment, I typically look for your legal name to match the name I see on PayPal.

  • CODE OF CONDUCT

The Author's services are provided on a basis of expected professionalism and ettiquette - at any time, if the Author deems that the Client is causing them suitable discomfort, the Author reserves the right to immediately cancel the services provided to the client and provide a refund if appropriate (for conditions of refunds, see "Pricing, Payment, Process").Actions or Reasons that may cause suitable discomfort include but are not limited to:

  • • Unprofessional, ulterior-motivated, hateful or otherwise abrasive conduct, either in Client-Author discussion or by the Client on Public forums/websites.

  • • Attempting to bypass or loophole any part of these collective Terms or Content Restrictions (see below), be it through negotiation or through the revision process, especially after explicitly agreeing to them.

  • • Being repeatedly unresponsive to communication about revisions, or,

  • • Engaging in extreme and repetitive communication about revisions, e.g. nitpicking.

  • TL;DR: Please don't be weird, unresponsive, oblique or otherwise too nitpicky ><'! I want to be cool with each other and make something great for you, and that's as easy as it's chosen to be ^^

  • CONTENT DEFINITION AND RESTRICTIONS

The Author reserves the right to reject any subject matter requested by the Client during any point of Negotiation or Writing (see "Pricing, Payment, Process"), and to take subsequent appropriate action (e.g. cancellation & refunding) as laid out in these Terms. Please note that the restrictions below are expected discussions during Negotiation - within the realm of good and professional taste, please do let the Author know if you have questions or suggestions regarding your specific desired content.TL;DR: I really want to write what I am comfortable with and find creative passion in, because that enables me to be in my element, happy, and as a result do my best work for you! To that end, I will reject pitches that aren't sitting right with me and suggest an alternative or handle the situation as appropriate.

  • VIOLATION OF TERMS

The Author reserves the right to cancel any commissioned work if they deem that the Client has suitably violated their terms. Refunds are issued conditionally in the event of cancellation, relevant to the current tenure of the Author's work and reason for cancellation (see "Pricing, Payment, Process").AKA: If things aren't working out, I will cancel the commission and you will receive an appropriate amount of your money back (regarding how much work has been done and for how long) based on my existing payment terms.

  • Subjects that the Author will not write include but are not limited to (NSFW/TW below):

  • • NSFW content of any kind involving minors or minor-coded characters (I prefer to write about characters that are undoubtedly identifiable as adults, and I don't want to argue world lore please!).

  • • Gratuitous Gore/Death.

  • • Non-con or Abuse.

  • • Content related to Hate Groups or supporting Propaganda, and/or overly Political works.

  • • (Extreme) Filth of many kinds.

  • • Vore and explicitly-derivative Pred/Prey dynamics.

  • • Feral, primarily for NSFW content.

  • • Extreme Growth or TF (moderate amounts are fine and encouraged!)

  • • Reworks or additions of/to Copywritten Content or original content of other Authors without express written agreement of those parties.

  • • Copywritten characters of any kind without explicit written agreement, if the story written is being redistributed. Character species/concepts based on copywritten content are open for discussion.

  • TL;DR: I'm a writer who sways pretty close to vanilla content compared to other creators in the scene; please feel free to pitch many manners of ideas to me but know that I heavily favor writing content of aligned creative interest and with reasonable comfort for me! ^^

PRICING, PAYMENT AND PROCESS

Detailed below are my Terms of Payment, Pricing, and cooperative creative Process.
These lay out what clients should expect to pay for their commission and how, alongside the overall storywriting/revision process and where those payments fit in.

  • PRICING

Pricing for commissioned works is based on piecing out Works into relevant major sections as described below. Pricing for all commissioned Works, regardless of subject matter, follows the following structure:

  • SFW CONTENT SECTIONS

  • • $0.035 per word ($35 per 1,000 words)

  • NSFW CONTENT SECTIONS

  • • $0.05 per word ($50 per 1,000 words)

  • NOTE: I usually place a soft word limit of 5,000 words; I prefer short stories because they're most reasonable for me to make, but I'm not opposed to repeating characters and creating series/sagas ^^

  • PAYMENT, GRATUITY AND MEANS

Payment for commissioned Works is done via PayPal pay link (can be negotiated, but is preferred) and is done in a pretty freeform fashion - payment is upfront after discussing desired story content in the Negotiation process, and pricing is determined by the prospective budget of the Client. The Author will create their Work to be of a length relevant to the Client's budget and based on their personal judgment of the story's length while working with the Client to ensure it suits their wants - if the Work becomes a majorly different length than the original budget dictates, the Author will contact the Client on that behalf to discuss. For example: if a Client is requesting SFW story with a budget of $80, that results in a story about 2000 words long (give or take) - if the length of the written work changes via feedback and approval from the Client during the Drafting processes (see "Creative/Creation process"), the Author will reach out to the client regarding partial refunds or additional charges accordingly once the written work is complete.Gratuity is greatly appreciated but far from necessary - if desired, the PayPal pay link allows for freeform money entry but please feel no obligation!NOTE: How long your story is and its resulting pricing are based on a budget system - you put down however much money you want to spend, and I will write a story of that relative length while involving you in the creative process (see below!) and keeping you informed. On that note, if the story is majorly shorter or longer (we can also go down to the individual word for payment!) than the initial budget guide via client feedback or organically, we can discuss budget adjustment accordingly.

  • CREATIVE/CREATION PROCESS

The following ordered sequence details the various stages of the creative and creation processes that ultimately result in a completed Work. Every process will be unique, but all will generally follow this model as things progress.

  • NEGOTIATION

  • • Author and Client discuss the desired contents, length, style, plot, and deliverables for the Work. Some elements may be left up to Author interpretation, but generally it will be a collaborative effort to create a storyboard (or equivalent) at this stage.

  • Payment occurs as Negotiation ends (see "Payment, Gratuity and Means").

  • SECTION-CUT DRAFTS / REVISIONS

  • • Drafts will be presented and revised section-by-section, using the storyboard (or equivalent) as a reference. Client will have opportunity to make edits and revisions for each section, and writing will continue as changes are made.

  • FIRST FINAL DRAFT

  • • After section-based revisions are complete, the Client will have the opportunity to take a pass over the final draft and request minor revisions if desired.

  • COMPLETION & RELEASE

  • • After the Client does a final pass of the final draft, they will be provided an Edit-Locked PDF copy of their final Work and the Work will be posted to the Author's FurAffinity gallery, if permitted, with appropriate content ratings/warnings (see "Deliverables").

  • TL;DR: We'll first discuss your desired story and budget, then I'll key you in on the story's progress as I continue drafting - don't afraid to ask for revisions or provide constructive criticism (but, nicely and also if warranted, ideally ><)! I'll give you a first final draft as a last-chance revision opportunity, and then I'll provide you an edit-locked PDF copy of the final work and post it to my FA if that's cool with you. ^^

  • CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

Cancellation of services from the Author by the Client or by the Author (due to Terms violations) may occur at any time, but may not always entail a Refund. The first half of payment occurs after Negotiation, as detailed above, and becomes nonrefundable once the Author has provided the Client with their first Section-Cut Draft. Likewise, the second half of payment is nonrefundable once received and is expected in all cases once a final draft has been provided.Refunds may also occur as described in "Payment, Gratuity and Means" above, relevant to story length and associated budget. If, due to extenuating circumstances unrelated to Terms violations the Author must cancel services provided to the Client, then the Client will receive a full refund.TL;DR: If things aren't working out, I will cancel the commission and you will receive an appropriate amount of your money back based on my existing payment terms.

DELIVERABLES

Detailed below is what you should expect to receive/see upon completion of a commission. Some of these elements are optional, please read over them for posterity.

  • EDIT-PROTECTED PDF

Upon ratification of the final commissioned Work, the Client will receive a formatted PDF of the Work that is edit-locked to protect the original copy. Please note that this is done to establish an original copy of the Work, should redistribution or further edits not by the Author occur.NOTE: This is really just a policy of protection for me against a variety of things! But, if you like, think of it as me handing you a copy of a certificate of ownership >w< or something like that.

  • FURAFFINITY & TWITTER POSTING

After the Client receives their edit-locked PDF, the Author will post the commissioned Work to their FurAffinity gallery and advertise it on their appropriate social channels. Any PDF or downloadable copies of the Work will also be edit-locked.
IF THE CLIENT DOES NOT WANT THEIR COMMISSIONED WORK TO BE POSTED PUBLICLY, THEY MUST NOTIFY THE AUTHOR BEFORE APPROVING THE FINAL DRAFT!
Please note that any time after their Work is posted the Client may request that the Author remove a commissioned Work from public galleries.
